One interesting aspect of the DH-17 is that it can be modified to fire in bursts. This, however, drains the powerpack in around 20 seconds. If this is done, the weapon can overheat, overload, and explode. Note: A Difficult blaster repair roll modifies the weapon to fire in bursts. This gives one 20-second burst which drains the powerpack and ruins the weapon. For the duration of the burst the wielder receives +3D to hit a target but cannot dodge any attacks.
